Senior Friendship Group 2nd & 4th Monday, 11:00 AM Bible Study / Lunch / Cards / Games / Outings We meet the second and fourth Monday of each month (except in July and August). Our purpose is to foster Bible study, Christian fellowship, the building up of one another in our faith, and the sharing of a meal. The Senior Friendship Group is open to anyone who is 55 years of age or older. Both members of St. Peter’s and non-members are always welcome to become a part of our group. Guests, of any age, are also welcome. Our activities are varied. We do many things as a group. We go on outings (restaurants, places of interest, etc.), play cards and games, and have a chili lunch or catered meal on occasion. At other times we just bring a sack lunch and two of our members volunteer to provide desserts and beverages. We are always open to suggestions for other fun activities. We ask each member to contribute one dollar to the “kitty” at each meeting. This is used to keep us supplied with coffee, cups, plates, etc. and to help underwrite our occasional catered lunch. |

LUTHERAN WOMEN’S MISSIONARY LEAGUE (LADIES AID) Our Ladies Aid was started in December of 1915 and was affiliated with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) in 1952. The LWML is an international organization of women who sponsor missionaries and mission projects around the world. Our local
Ladies Aid meets the first Thursday of the month (September - June)
at 1:00 pm. We have members who are active in our meetings and members
who are not able to attend, but who work for the goals of the group
at home. Each month we have a meeting followed by a program (special
speaker, etc.) followed by refreshments. Each member serves on the refreshement
committee once each year and also volunteers their time to many of the
working committees that are a part of the Ladies Aid. Service projects
include making and giving a “wedding ball” Christmas ornament
to each couple that is married in our church, sending get well cards
to all of the members of our church who are sick and hospitalized, assembling
Christmas cheer baskets and distributing them to our house-bound members,
putting together college “care packages” for the members
of our church away at school, serving funeral lunches, and organizing
and participating in various fund-raisers that support mission projects
around the world. |

LUTHERAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (L.Y.F.) We are open to young people in 7th through 12th grade. LYF is simply fun and fellowship centered around the Good News of the Gospel. L.Y.F. provides young people with many opportunities for Christian growth and fellowship through Bible study, fun activities and events, and service projects. They meet twice each month (usually on the 2nd and 4th Sundays). Service
projects include hosting the annual Easter Breakfast, leaf raking
for elderly members, and various fund-raisers (Christmas wreath sale,
car washes, etc.). Fun activities include sledding, bowling, lock-ins,
trips to the roller rink or the Imax Theater, weekends at Camp LuWiSoMo
in Wild Rose, WI, just to name a few. We are a group growing together
in the Lord, enjoying each others fellowship and studying God’s
Word. We are always looking for new members. Join us! |

ADULT CHOIR Like to
sing? Then the Adult Choir is the place to be. The only
thing they like better than singing praises to the Lord (and doing
it beautifully) is having a good time doing it. Relaxed and
fun! Email
us for information on rehearsal dates and times.. |

DARTBALL LEAGUE Each fall
and winter our church sponsors a dartball team in a league of area
churches. If you don’t know what Dartball is, it’s like
baseball thats played with darts instead of a baseball (ouch!) and
a dartboard instead of a ball diamond. You have to see it to believe
how much fun it is (and competitive too!). Anyone from teens to senior
citizens (male or female) is welcome to join the team. |
