Welcome to St. Peter's Lutheran School.

Before entering our web site, we invite you to read a message from our Principal.

Greetings in the name of our Lord! As we celebrate our 10th year, as a school devoted to Christ, I pray that you are as excited about this upcoming year and its many new opportunities as I am.

Each year our school picks a new theme for the upcoming school year. This theme will be a part of our students' lives for the school year. Our teachers will weave this theme into classrooms and activities. They will share their belief in the importance of this theme with their students inside and outside the classroom. In short, they will use this theme as their focus for the year.

This school year our incoming 8th graders have chosen a very special theme to guide us throughout our time together. Our theme, “Fruit of the Spirit”, is based on the Bible verse from Galatians 5:22-23 which states, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.” These words are a marvelous reminder to each and every one of us of the important job we have been given—to be witnesses of our living and loving Savior in all that we do.

Our 2007-2008 school year theme emphasizes the many different parts of what being a Christian in today's world is all about. All of our plans and lessons for the upcoming year are built upon honoring our Lord in those areas and growing in an active faith that can be shared with others. All families and schools desire an excellent academic education for their children. At St. Peter's, we focus on more than just academic excellence. Our school strives for excellence not only in academic growth, but also in the social, physical, emotional and SPIRITUAL growth of our students. Our theme for this year will be our guide to achieving just that.

In our 10 years of service, St. Peter's has always been committed to offering the best educational experience for its students and their families. This year we plan to continue this as we again will be offering many opportunities for growth. Some of these will be familiar activities and others will be new. One of the new and exciting activities we hope to offer involves expanding our band program. Last year we were able to offer band for the first time. Due to a small amount of interest, many of the band lessons became private lessons. This year we have coordinated with Martin Luther High School to allow our students to be involved in a Saturday band program, in addition to what we already have, to allow for a bigger band experience. Last year we also started our very first Student Council with great success. This year we plan to develop this program even more to allow our students the opportunity to share the Fruit of the Spirit in many new ways, not just with the students and families of our school, but also with those in our community.

As partners in the educational and growth process, parents and teachers of St. Peter's have a very important job. The good news is that we do not work alone. The Holy Spirit is daily working in the hearts and lives of our students and us. Our theme stresses on Who our solid foundation and strength rests---on Christ our Lord.

I invite you to join us this year as we seek to live out the words of our theme verse from Galatians 5:22-23 and let them be your guide. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.

Blessings on the upcoming school year!
