St. Peter's Lutheran School is a place

where children of God can...

...GROW SPIRITUALLY with daily devotions, Wednesday Chapel services and daily religious classes. Instruction in the Word of God in regular school subjects by dedicated Christian teachers.

...GROW ACADEMICALLY with a fine elementary curriculum, and activities that promote development of artistic and athletic talents. We reinforce Christian home training through instruction in Christian living and citizenship in our country.

...GROW EMOTIONALLY in a relaxed, concerned, loving and forgiving environment.

St. Peter's Lutheran School has a teaching staff that is Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod trained. We offer small class sizes, a foreign language program, music program, before and after school child care, daily hot lunch, and tuition discounts for families with multiple children attending our school.

St. Peter's Lutheran School stresses close ties between home and school so that we may develop a spirit of cooperation and concern which is most beneficial to the child. Parent volunteers participate in many activities, such as being room parents, reading volunteers, field trip chaperones, and lunch servers. We also have a Booster Club, which helps support our school with many Christ-centered family enrichment events.

Why consider St. Peter’s Lutheran School for your child when public schools are available and free?

• St. Peter’s offers small class sizes which allow more one-on-one time with the child and as a result no child is left behind.

• St. Peter’s children test above the national average academically.

• Foreign language is taught beginning in Kindergarten.

• Nationally sought after multi-grade classrooms are the norm at St. Peter’s. There is no special wait list to have your child reap these benefits:

        1. Students remain in the same classroom for two years with the same teacher. Therefore, the classroom becomes a “family” which provides a more secure environment for learning while building better relationships between teachers, students and parents.

        2. In a multi-grade classroom, teachers have chance to develop a deeper understanding of the child’s strengths and weaknesses. They can then structure learning activities to meet the needs of the child as an individual, rather than teach to an imaginary “middle of the class.”

        3. The multi-age classroom promotes a diverse environment where children do not feel the need to compete, only to do their best. This leads to a greater sense of belonging, support, security and confidence.

        4. Younger students can enrich their learning by being exposed to the material designed for the higher grade, while the older students benefit from the opportunities to review.

• Children have weekly chapel and daily devotions to help them grow spiritually as well as academically.

• St. Peter’s also offers a hot lunch program, bussing for children within the Waterford District, and before and after childcare.

• Music and extra-curricular activities round out the child’s entire St. Peter’s experience.
