Congregation at prayer purpose:
The Congregation at Prayer is provided each week and serves to assist families with their preparation throughout the week for the coming Lord’s Day Divine Service. It’s a great tool to help you order your days by praising and honoring the Lord with your family at home, while also preparing for worship on Sunday with your church family. The congregation at prayer serves as a template which includes the Psalm for the week and the Bible verse of the month. We are encouraged to recite the 10 Commandments and the Apostles’ Creed and sing the hymn of the week, followed by a reading from Scripture as suggested. There are readings for each day that correspond to the readings for the upcoming Sunday service followed by the assigned Catechism learning for the week. Your devotional time can then end with the Collect of the week and prayers for the listed members in need of special prayer. Also listed are prayers for different times of the day. The hymn of the month is listed as well, along with an assigned reading for the week from the Book of Concord. Pastor Conradt hopes this tool helps you to form a daily devotional time with your family. Please use the navigation panel on the left to access the congregation at prayer for the date you need.
